A small organization with a big heart.

CROSS Inc (Christian Residential Opportunities and Social Services) is a small organization with a big heart.  For 25 years, CROSS has been providing residential care for adults with developmental disabilities. 

Presently, CROSS has three personal care homes in South Central Pennsylvania providing care for 22 adults.  We accept those on SSI and SS knowing we will need to depend on the community to make the difference.  We need an additional $550 per month per resident to cover our cost.  We never want a resident to be denied care due to finances.

CROSS Inc. was started by the Peace churches of the community and to this day remains a distinctively Christian organization.  Our support extends beyond the Peace churches to a broad base of support from the community.

Our camping program has had its impact on the community as well.  Each summer, we rent several camps and run a camp for yourth (ages 10-21) and adults (21 and up).  Our campers have physical and developmental disabilities and sometimes both.  Camp has provived a wonderful outreach into the community providing needed recreational services.

Our Coffee House ministry has been an excellent way to get local churches involved in ministry to individuals with disabilities.  CROSS will sponsor but the local church will host an evening where we have a Coffee House exclusively for those with disabilities.  CROSS provides training and guidance for the hosting church and the church provides the staff, program and facility.

CROSS Inc. is a 501C3 private non profit organization in SC Pa.  We have homes in Franklin County (Shippensburg, St. Thomas) and Cumberland County (Dillsburg)  CROSS is governed by a Board of Directors comprised of talented and faithful volunteers from the surrounding community.
